  1. Thanks for the good news and all the hard work. I wonder when the issues with dark theme will be fixed, namely, unreadable color combinations. E.g. KeepassXC (from repo), dark mode: go to Help/About, About tab, and look at the links. The dark blue links are completely unreadable on the dark grey background (built-in theme colors!), and it has been so for years now. Any fixes planned?

  2. Tried to use Metacity instead of XFWM4 but it’s broken.
    Screen flashes several times, and titlebar disappears altogether.
    Granted I installed 21.2 on top of Debian 12 XFCE and didn’t format the /home partition, so maybe a remnant is causing the problem?

    1. Running “metacity –replace” gives:

      (metacity:19400): dbind-WARNING **: 20:49:40.882: Couldn’t connect to accessibility bus: Failed to connect to socket /root/.cache/at-spi/bus_0.0: Permission non accordée

      (metacity:19400): Gdk-ERROR **: 20:49:41.188: The program ‘metacity’ received an X Window System error.
      This probably reflects a bug in the program.
      The error was ‘BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)’.
      (Details: serial 2317 error_code 8 request_code 139 (RENDER) minor_code 4)
      (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
      that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
      To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment
      variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
      backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
      Trappe pour point d’arrêt et de trace (core dumped)

  3. After applying this update, thumbnailing in Thunar takes a very long time and causes laptop fans to crank into high gear. I deleted the cache and took another look, same behavior as before. 🙁

    1. I take you rebooted after the upgrade, and did another update afterwards, just to be sure everything is up to date?
