MintUpload is one of the new mint tools which will be introduced in Celena. It allows the user to quickly upload files on the Internet and to send a link to them by email. By default, all users will get free access to a 1GB web storage space and they will be allowed to upload files smaller than 10MB. The 1GB of space will be shared between all users and files will stay on the server for 2 days.
Mint-Space customers will be able to add their mint-space account and use it in addition to the free service. This will give them an additional 1GB of space which will be reserved to them. They will be allowed to upload files smaller than 1GB and their files will stay on the server for 7 days.

Wait, I don’t really get it, if I’m a regular non-subscription user, I’m only able to upload files less than 10MB for only two days? It also says
“The 1GB of space will be shared between all users and files will stay on the server for 2 days.”
But what if fifty people decide to upload one file that’s 20.5MB each, then 1GB storage is full for to days?
Well they can’t since the max size is 10MB, but if 100 people do so.. yes it would be full for 2 days. It’s a public free service with limited resources, if some people use it more others will have to use it less. That’s where a mint-space account comes handy and why we made sure mintUpload was compatible with it.
Is this feature still available in Mint 5? I can’t find it anywhere 🙁
Yes, it’s there. Right click on a file and select “upload”.
Upload is still there but is it still possible to get Mint-Space?
