I just DL’d the ISO and installed Mint16 after thrashing for two wks with Trusty 14.04 Alpha2. Granted, it is a daily developmental install, but Trusty was never stable enough, even for a little while, to perform work (parasitology genetics and papers for scientific journals).

Mint16 went zipping into my Pentium D 4Gig memory desktop. No warnings, no flags, no Borked packages. It is faster than a speeding bullet.

Whatever you do, don’t let people talk you into dropping two-pane file manager or the ability to insert frequent-use app icons into the top or bottom panel. These are the best work-flow accelerators in computerdom!
