  3. Any news on how is Petra coming along? Features planned, tweaks, anything at all? Why does it have to be a mystery until the very end?

    I’ll insist, Linux Mint is to hermetic about its development. There are a couple of things like segfault and github but none geared towards the user.

  5. Clem does it not worry you that some of your sponsors are people selling suspect pharmaceuticals, or linking to websites with questionable content? (http://lesitedupharmacien.com/cialis/ for example) Is there any vetting process involved in sponsorship links? It seems somewhat odd that you’re happy to link yourself with someone selling Cialis and other drugs online. I’ve raised it because I don’t want it to be something that comes back to bite Linux Mint in the rear end. Surely there has to be some code of conduct and best practice here.

    Edit by Clem: Hi. Sorry for my lack of knowledge on the matter.. can you describe the issue with this particular sponsor? If its activity is illegal we will of course consider cancelling the sponsorship. If the matter is simply cultural we’ll however ignore it (we don’t do politics nor do we take sides on topics that have nothing to do with us).

    Update from Clem: The sponsor was contacted and asked not to advertise controversial products. It is featured in the July stats as “Anonymous” and without any link.

  7. Hi, is it possible to know how is planned the release of LMDE? Are some updates coming in the next days/weeks?

    Edit by Clem: Hi Gianluca. Firefox and Thunderbird should get updates very soon. An update to MATE 1.6 is also planned, for the week coming. UP7, is coming as well, but I can’t give you an ETA on it yet.
