What about those of us who donate by buying CD’s from On-Disk.com?
What’s the difference between Donations and Sponsors?
kezdeth: That helps as well. These are the donations and sponsors for last month but as you highlighted, there are many other ways to contribute.
Pete: Sponsors donate automatically every months through a Paypal subscription. Donations are once-off events (although some people donate more than once).
G´day from Australia. Well done for a very polished Linux (so far) We have been using Linus for around 10 years and Mint so far is the best. now we are not affriad of getting our hands dirty but we were extremely suprised of how well Mint ran out of the box. Over the last 4-5 months we have tried pclinux.sabayon.mepis,fedora,suse 11, ubuntu and derivitives and this was the first one that recognised our 3d card a nvidia 8500gt, our printer (without having to find and install the right drivers) but not only that it also tells me our printer is getting low on ink. We have heaps of problems with different senarios (too many variations to go into) and Mint has so far came out on top, way on top. as said we are testing so will let you know if we hit any snages. and if all goes ok then we will certainly become a sponsor.
thanks again.
Mik
I AM A USER OF MINT, I AM NEW TO LINUX THNAKS TO MINT, I AM GOING TO
DONATE THE $500 U.S. THAT I WAS TO SPEND ON JUNK VISTA (MS) TO YOUR
GROUP,PERSON,ORGANIZATION…WHATEVER MINT MAKER IS… SO THAT YOU CAN
USE IT TO FURTHER MAKE MINT EVEN GREATER !!!! I WILL MAKE THIS A ONCE A YEAR DONATION IF YOU KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK… AS YOU AND MINT ARE
GREATLY APPRECIATED…. ( funny…today…the forums are BLANK..they
do not work for me….they have always worked…maby they are down today…)
I’m trying to figure out how to donate right now, I love Mint. The only complaint is that I set up my partitions manually and somehow lost windows from my grub but its prolly my own fault, I found the interface a little confusing, I’m still used to the old fdisk ways. I know I didn’t mess with the windows partition so I don’t know what happed, mabey windows needs to be installed after Mint, who knows. I think I’m done with windows anyways. The only thing I will miss is Digsby, that program rocks.
