Hi everyone,<\/p>\n

Christmas is coming fast. We’re hoping to release Linux Mint 20.1 during the holiday season but we’re on a very tight schedule.<\/p>\n

I’d like to thank you all for your donations and for your support. Before rushing back to work on 20.1, I’d like to share some of the progress we made on Hypnotix, our new IPTV player.<\/p>\n

Hypnotix was given a preferences screen where you can now configure multiple TV providers:<\/p>\n

These providers can be configured via a local M3U playlists, remote M3U URLs or the Xtream API.<\/p>\n

Some settings were also added to let you set MPV options, an HTTP user agent and an HTTP referrer:<\/p>\n

Hypnotix can handle live TV channels but also VOD libraries for movies and TV series.<\/p>\n

Depending on the provider, content can be organized by categories:<\/p>\n

You can then select your TV channel on the left and watch it on the right, or go full screen:<\/p>\n

VOD (Movies and Series) work slightly differently. Once you select a category you can see all of its content:<\/p>\n

Hypnotix fetches IMDb information for the movie or series you want to watch:<\/p>\n

To make it easy to browse, episodes within TV Series are organized by seasons:<\/p>\n
